Certified Road-to-Wellness

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This Road to Wellness package is an equipping tool for Health & Wellness Professionals to involve employees in successfully adopting a healthy culture within the workplace. This package will empower the employee to understand the value of a wellness work and lifestyle; identify personal wellness goals and design a plan for sustained behaviour change.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

After completion of this course, candidates should be able to:

1. Explain the benefits and purpose of a Wellness lifestyle and workstyle

2. Explain the principles of wellness such as illness-wellness continuum, ice-berg model etc.

3. Explain the 7 dimensions of wellness and the inter-relation of them

4. Facilitate participants in discovering their meaning and purpose in life

5. Analise participant personal state of wellness

6. Lead participants in analyzing their wellness strength and weaknesses

7. Lead participants in analyzing their readiness to change

8. Lead participants in designing a 7 step change plan

9. Use professional presentation skills

PROGRAM
8 Hours of continues education is planned into 1 full day to save the busy professionals one day out of office. Training will start at 08:00 and finish at 17:00.

WHO SHOULD ENROL?
Professionals responsible for presenting wellness to employees in a way that creates understanding and facilitates change.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Prospective delegates should have a basic understanding of presentation skills and manage a PowerPoint slide show.

PRESENTERS
The course will be presented by Mrs Tertia Putter. She is recognised by the national and international wellness community as a leader in the field of Wellness.

COURSE STRUCTURE
The format will predominantly consist of lectures and practical exercises to acquire the skills. The course will be presented in English.

ACCREDITATION
This programme and certification is provided by Wellness Africa (Pty)Ltd. Skills Development levy paid, is claimable at the relevant SETA. Attendees may apply for CPD points from the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) or South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) and other relevant statutory bodies, on successful completion of the course.

ASSESSMENT
In order to be qualified as a Certified Road-to-Wellness Presenter issued by Wellness Africa (Pty)Ltd, delegates need to successfully complete and comply with requirements through a practical examination.

COURSE FEE
The course fee is R 7,800 per delegate and includes course material, meals and refreshments. Each delegate receives a Multi dimensional wellness assessments and report analysis; a Road-to-Wellness Workbooks; and a presentational manual with audio-visual material. Corporate discount of R200 per delegate for 2 or more delegates from the same organisation applies.

Any travel and/or accommodation arrangements are the responsibility of the delegates and or their employers.
